The M Barrique 2019 Special Edition reflects the captivating spirit of Boeotia, birthplace of the Sphinx, the mythical creature known for her riddles and enigmatic presence. This red wine presents a deep ruby colour with aromas of sour black fruit, including cherries and blueberries, complemented by notes of chocolate, vanilla, and butter caramel.
Its flavor profile features mature cherries, raspberries, sweet spices, and a well-rounded tannin structure with a long aftertaste. Perfect with grilled lamb or pork and hard yellow cheeses.
Best enjoyed at 16-18°C.
Maturated in French oak barrels for 12 months & 8 months in bottles.

Mouhtaro vineyard planted on the south/south-east slopes of Helicon Mountain in the Muses Valley, with a peak elevation of 1280 meters. Altitude of 380-420m. Clay and gravel soils with a 6-8% gradient. Royat training system. Yield per ha (approx. 10000 sq.m.): 8000 kg. Not irrigated.
Merlot vineyard planted on the south/south-east slopes of Helicon Mountain in Boeotia, Greece (62 km southeast of Delphi). Altitude of 280 meters. Clay soils with a 3%-5% gradient. Guyot training system, with 4200 vines per ha. Yield per ha (approx. 10000 sq.m.): 9000 kg. Harvested by hand.
